2019 Retrospective Gallery: Day 3

Onward with the retrospective with a slew of commission pieces.

15mm scifi tanks from Orbital Heavy Industries.  Some really nifty stuff from him over here:

Some 28mm scaled (albeit larger than man sized) SLA Industries power suits repurposed as 15mm  Martian light mecha, with some minor conversion work.

Some more 15mm scifi armored vehicles.  Some conversions and parts swaps required due to missing pieces and poor fits.

Some kitbashed starship terrain including a stargate/warp portal and five guard satellites.

The gate is a dual-sided and made out of some spare bases.  That's a 1.5" base it's mounted on.

The satellites are a bits box bash.

Think the hulls were from some Gates of Antares models, and the guns are from the ever-handy Dropfleet Commander space station kit, along with some craft store bits and bobs.

You can see these and more Dropfleet stations on the huge gallery page here:

Happy Boxing Day, all.

2019 Retrospective Gallery: Day 2

Continuing the retrospective started yesterday.

Customized Ground Zero Games cargo hauler and a quartet of Brigade Models' satellites.

Cute little things, these.

This one incorporates parts from several kits.

The green cargo boxes and gray tank cluster are from other freighters.

The red tanks at the rear are from the orbital workshack.

Behold, Vhuul the Many-Handed!

Custom eldritch horror converted out of several Reaper Bones figures.

Some 28mm Infinity figures and a converted scenic base from a commission job.

Nifty little mini-diorama.

The casualty figure is a re-pose from a standing model.

Surprisingly effective at setting that "Sniper!  They got Joe!" moment.

Another commission job, this time 15mm scifi.

IFV and AFV from Rebel Miniatures.

The main bodies are resin, the rest of the parts are metal.

Very well designed, it's almost impossible to misalign the tracks due to the way the hulls are sculpted.

That's it for today.  Happy holidays again.

2019 Retrospective Gallery: Day 1

End of the year is coming up, so let's do another annual retrospective.  Bit less to show off this year, mostly because I've been much better about blogging regularly as I finished projects.  Still some stuff that hasn't been up yet though.

Some 15mm scifi - a mechanized grav infantry platoon composed of Ground Zero Games' new-sculpt NSL infantry and Brigade Models' Lynx grav APCs.

The decals on these things are impossibly ancient.  Some are from military model kits from my childhood, while the heraldic icon came off old Armoury decal sheets.

Worked surprisingly well for ~40 year old decals.

A selection of 15mm undead from Splintered Light minis.

Wraiths, phantoms, ghosts and the like.

Skeletal archers.

Skeletal dire wolves.

Ghouls and a ghast.

Miscellaneous leader & bodyguard types.

Angry undead treant and overfed ghoul shaman.

28mm scale Mortal Arrow troll mutant.

Heavily converted using spare parts from other kits.

What's got two heads, four hands, and a bad attitude?

"Graaarrrr!  We hate riddles!!!"

15mm Ground Zero Games ESU power armor.

My favorite of their power armor sculpts to date.

That's it for today, folks.  Have a happy holiday.

Full Thrust Eurasian Solar Union Gallery

Mix of old and new sculpt ESU ships from GZG.  The old sculpt stuff here at the top were some of the first GZG minis I ever bought, and were repainted several times over the years.  They're no longer on the GZG store these days.

The newer sculpts were painted between 2012 and 2014 IIRC.  The unpainted figs are available on the GZG web store here:
